My Top 5 Favorite Vegan Desserts at Trader Joe’s

My Top 5 Favorite Vegan Desserts at Trader Joe’s

I pretty much only shop at Trader Joe’s, and transitioning to a plant-based diet was really easy because of the large variety of vegan options there. Now, obviously, nothing on this list is healthy by any means, but vegans like to have a little junk sometimes too!

Plant-based or vegan desserts can be hard to come by considering the majority of desserts are made with milk and eggs! So I’m always stoked to see vegan options, and Trader Joe’s hasn’t let me down with their vegan choices yet! Here are my personal favorite top 5 vegan desserts at Trader Joe’s!

Strawberry Non-Dairy Oat Frozen Dessert

I cannot rave enough about this “ice cream”. I believe they can’t legally call this ice cream since there’s no dairy, hence the “frozen dessert”. But this is SO SO GOOD! I actually can’t believe it’s only made with oat milk because it tastes exactly like regular ice cream. I tell everyone about this ice cream when I get the chance! It’s genuinely my favorite ice cream I’ve ever had. It includes candied strawberries and almond brittle! And it comes in a smaller pint, so there’s a little less guilt 😉

Cheese-less “Cheesecake”

Another dessert I was really impressed with! Before becoming plant-based, cheesecake was one of my favorite desserts and I just assumed I’d never enjoy it again. But Trader Joe’s saved the day! Does it taste exactly like cheesecake? No. But it tastes really good for anyone who’s plant-based or lactose-intolerant! The crust is also super good. That’s always the best part of any cheesecake (real or fake) in my opinion. It does taste sweeter than regular cheesecake, so if you don’t have a huge sweet-tooth, I’d avoid this one. But if you love sweets, this is good plain or topped with fruit! Just thaw it for about 2 hours in the refrigerator before eating.

Vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Okay… THESE COOKIES! So many non-vegans buy these cookies because they’re that damn good! I was never a big cookie person but these cookies have changed that! They have the perfect amount of chocolate chips, while still maintaining that classic oatmeal cookie taste! Gone are the days of choosing between an oatmeal cookie or a chocolate chip cookie! And there are added coconuts flakes for a pleasant surprise. It’s a shame how many of these bags I’ve bought… don’t ask.

Vegan Banana Bread with Walnuts

A classic dessert! You can never go wrong with banana bread. This one is pretty self-explanatory. The picture says it all! This vegan option is the only banana bread that Trader Joe’s sells and it’s truly delicious.

Soft-Baked Snickerdoodles

Last on the list are these delicious soft-baked snickerdoodles. And wow, they really are so soft! It’s almost like a pillow. Snickerdoodles are so good, and the cinnamon flavor just seems very fitting for the fall and winter months. But lucky for us, these cookies are at Trader Joe’s all year round! They’re vegan and gluten-free. There’s no wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, or soy!

There are plenty more vegan desserts at Trader Joe’s and I’ll make more posts about them in the future! But consider these yummy treats and desserts next time you stop by the store! Enjoy 🙂
