Not sure what to get your pole-dancing lover or pole-dancing bestie for Christmas this year? I got you covered. Iāve compiled a list of gifts any pole dancer would appreciate.
Pole Grip
Having pole grip is an absolute necessity for pole dancing and we go through it fast. Even if your pole dancing friend has grip, they will definitely appreciate having more in stock! If you donāt already know which type of pole grip is their favorite, there are a few brands to choose from. I would recommend Better Grip or Dew Point. You can find them online or at any pole studio ready for purchase.
Pleasers
Pleasers are exotic pole dancing shoes. These shoes would be a perfect gift for strippers or those who enjoy taking exotic pole dancing classes. Itās best to find out their size because thereās a high chance your pole friend has a different āregularā shoe size than what theyād wear for Pleasers.
New Pole Outfits
Pole dancers can never have enough pole wear! You can find out their favorite pole wear brand and get them a set. If youāre unsure what theyād want or what their size is, then best to get them a gift card to the shop.
Many pole dancers, including myself, typically wear bikinis for pole wear because the material is similar (and often the same) as pole active wear and can be a little cheaper. Just make sure you get something thatāll be snug and secure so thereās nothing popping out!
If your pole friend doesnāt like bikinis or finds them too revealing for their comfort, you can always opt for a cute sports bra and shorts!
Toe Topper Socks
Toe topper socks are a thing I didnāt even know existed until I started doing pole. Some dancers like to dance with socks on, especially if theyāre doing a piece that requires having their toes move smoothly across the floor. You can get the regular, full-sized socks or toe socks.
Toe socks cover just the toes so they can glide easily across the floor but still allows the pole dancer to have grip from the rest of their exposed foot. But with full-sized socks, they can always be folded in half to make them toe socks.
With socks, itās very black and white. People either prefer nude or neutral colors or they like the fun and colorful prints. You know what your pole friend would prefer best!
Knee Pads
Knee pads always come in handy for any pole dancer. Whether their style involves more groundwork, or they just want to protect their knees in general, you can never go wrong with getting knee pads. They have so many colors to choose from. You can opt for a nude that matches their skin nicely or choose something bold like red. Maybe itāll match their Pleasers! I recommend the Beeās Knees brand.
Pole Warmer
Pole dancing in the winter can be a challenge. It can take so long for our bodies to warm up which makes any combo more dangerous to attempt. After doing some warm-up stretches to get our blood flowing, that warmth can quickly be lost once we touch the freezing cold pole. Having a pole warmer would be a dream for any pole dancer who trains in colder climates. They will thank you! You can probably find many different brands for this, but I recommend X-Pole.
Buy a Private Pole Session With the Instructor of Their Choice
Private pole lessons can get expensive, so if you want to get your pole friend a really nice gift, this is one they would definitely appreciate. Find out who their favorite dancer is and contact them for their private rates.
This is an especially nice gift during the time of Covid. Many studios and clubs are closed, putting a lot of dancers out of work. Being able to contact them directly for a pole session will be helping the instructor during this time period while also helping your pole friend learn some new moves.
No matter what you get them for Christmas, they will appreciate it! I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season.
