All around the world, the pole community has been adjusting to the lockdown. Pole studios are closed due to social distancing and many companies have resorted to teaching online via Zoom or IG livestreams. Hereā€™s a list of studios that are offering classes during quarantine! They offer a variety of classes, so youā€™re bound to find something you like!

Embody Alternative Fitness

@embody_alternative_fitness is a studio that offers pole, aerial, and dance classes at multiple locations in the Orange County area in Southern California. You can take online classes with some of their amazing aerial and dance instructors for $12 per class!

All you have to do is book and pay for your class either on their website (or the Mindbody app) and download Zoom. 15 minutes before class time, youā€™ll get a zoom link in your email to join in. Keep in mind that signups will close up to 30 minutes prior to class, so sign up early!

BeSpun

@bespun is a well-known pole studio with two locations in Hollywood and Santa Monica. @leighannontherise is the founder of the studio and is the creator is @rise.the.night, an incredible annual pole showcase featuring some of the best pole dancers around the world!

Follow the studio’s Instagram account to stay up-to-date on their weekly schedule. They offer a variety of free pole lessons that they stream on their IG live!

Sadies Pole Studio & Jagged Vertical Dance Fitness

@jaggedvdf and @sadiespolestudio have teamed up to bring you Sagged Jadieā€™s Online! Keep an eye out for both Instagram accounts to stay updated their schedule.

In order to join a class, you’ll need to register through Wellness Living. Afterward, you’ll get an email with a Zoom link. The classes are being offered at $10/class and they also mention discounted class packages on their Instagram. They offer a ton of classes that don’t require you to have a home pole, so I definitely recommend checking them out if that’s the case.

X-POLE TV

X-Pole is the worldwide leader in pole and aerial fitness and is the official pole of pole fitness. Theyā€™ve recently introduced a subscription service on xpole.tv that features hundreds of pole and aerial fitness lessons taught by some of the best instructors in the world. Some instructors include Natasha Wang (@polecricket), Jamilla Deville (@jamilla), Nicole Williams (@nicolethepole), and many more professionals!

They have a 14-day free trial so give it a test run! If you like it, itā€™s an affordable option for online aerial classes offered at $15/month. If you have more to spend and want to save money long-term, they also offer a $89 fee for a full year which will save you $91.

Instagram Challenges

If youā€™ve been financially impacted by the virus like so many of us, there are still ways to learn! There are countless pole challenges going on right now that you can find through Instagram hashtags. Every week, there are new moves to tackle. My favorite right now is #poledetention which is hosted by two incredible pole instructors: @forthelove_ofpole and @kristen.bethanie and sponsored by @vekkerla, @poleactive, and @genieandjade. The instructors do a great job of virtually explaining the moves, which is crucial when many of us donā€™t have any spotters around!

Weā€™re in This Together

I mentioned LA-based studios because thatā€™s where I have most of my knowledge. If youā€™re in another state or country, I recommend still checking out these online classes because it gives you a chance to learn from some of the best instructors around who are based in California.

As my girl Lana Del Rey once said, ā€œIf we hold onto hope, weā€™ll have a happy ending. When the world was at war before, we just kept dancing. Weā€™ll do it again.ā€ What a queen. Stay strong everyone! No one is alone, weā€™re in this together.

xx
