I was scrolling on TikTok when I noticed #PastaChips trending. As someone who loves pasta and chips, I immediately closed out the app and went straight to the kitchen!
The majority of the videos I saw kept the chips Italian-themed by adding cheese and using pasta sauce as the dip. I decided against it because I’m dairy-free (and vegan cheese just doesn’t do it for me) and I’m also not a huge fan of red pasta sauce. I mean, I don’t even put it on my pizza! Team pesto all the way.
Here’s what I used:
- Tri-colored pasta
- Avocado
- Pink sea salt
- Everything but the bagel seasoning
- Red pepper seasoning
- 21 seasoning
- Olive oil
- Minced garlic
The recipe is super easy!
Boil your pasta and once it’s ready, drizzle some olive oil, minced garlic, and seasonings on top and mix it all together.
Toss the pasta in your air fryer and set it to 400 degrees for 15 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer available, an oven works just as well.
Prepare your dip while the pasta is frying. I mashed an avocado and added seasonings. Although it was good, it would’ve been better if I made proper guacamole, but I was feeling lazy in the moment. I think salsa would also be a good option!
Once the pasta comes to a crisp, they’re done! If you want more flavor, spray some olive oil on them and sprinkle more seasoning on top.
